A bit more about Laura...
My interest in the connection between mind, body and spirit has always been obvious, leading me to the path I know is right for me. I began my training and practice in Alternative and Complimentary practices in 1995 and finally, I launched myself full-time as Kirkys Therapies in 2015.
Remedial deep tissue massage was my main focus for some time, but I found myself being drawn to working with manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) to help people manage conditions such as; lymphoedema, lipoedema, CFS, ME, fibromyalgia, post or long COVID recovery and post surgical recovery (i.e. liposuction / lymph node removal).
I also practice PSYCH-K®, a simple set of processes used to transform your life through the subconcious mindset.
On a personal note, I love to play the guitar (both electric and acoustic) and my favourite live band is the Junkyard Preachers, a rock and blues band, who I frequently support!

Lymphoedema is diagnosed where there is tissue swelling caused by an accumulation of lymph fluid over time, usually a period of three months or longer.
This condition requires teamwork between the patient and their trained therapist or nurse in reducing the swelling as much as possible for a ‘normal’ size and shape, with regular maintenance to manage the condition.
